For the Authors



Re3 publishes articles, policy reports, selected presentations, literature surveys, interviews, comments and book reviews.

Contributions should be 1000-2000 words in length, concise, well organized, and written in a non technical language. Particular care should be devoted to avoiding technicalities and long descriptions of the methodology used (whenever broader reference is felt to be required authors are invited to include links to working papers, presentations, websites, etc.). Authors are responsible for the use of correct English.

The articles should include:

  • title (max 70 characters including spaces)
  • short title (max 34 characters including spaces)
  • name(s) of author(s) and main affiliations
  • the URL of the author(s)’ current webpage
  • short abstract (approx. 100 words), complemented by JEL classification numbers and keywords
  • notes and selected reference list at the end of the text and not at the bottom of the page
  • information on the funding source of the research presented
  • tables and figures are welcome (source files should be included)

Contributions to Re3 should be submitted electronically to

All contributions will be submitted to a review process by the Editorial Board. Re3 aims for a quick turnaround for all submissions, and authors will be notified of the acceptance by email, within 2 weeks maximum.


By submitting an article to Re3, the author affirms that the contribution is the author’s original work (if the work was prepared jointly, the author agrees to inform co-authors); that the work contains no materials the publication of which would violate any copyright; that it contains no matter that is defamatory or is otherwise unlawful or that invades individual privacy or infringes any proprietary right or any statutory right; and the author agrees to indemnify and hold FEEM harmless against any claim to the contrary.



  • Re3 encourages the dissemination of its content. Authors can adapt, alter or use their own content for their own personal, non-commercial use, subject to the condition that any further use of the content shall make reference to their original publication in Re3 in accordance with the suggested citation.
  • The authors grant Re3 the right to store the articles in its databases for an unlimited period of time and to distribute and reproduce the articles electronically.
  • Contributions reproduced in full by any one website or printed publication must clearly mention “Re3 - Review of Environment, Energy and Economics” as the source and a link to Re3 must be provided (for web pages). The name and surname of the author of the content or article must be indicated.
  • Partial reproductions of content must specify that the contribution is not reproduced in full (use three spaced ellipsis points [. . .] within a sentence to indicate that you have omitted material from the original source) and clearly specify that the “full text is available at link to Re3 contribution)”. The name and surname of the author of the content or article must be indicated.
  • Prior written permission from is required for translations, adaptations and re-elaboration of Re3 content by third parties other than the authors.
  • Unless otherwise stated, the copyright for all contributions is held by Review of Environment, Energy and Economics.
